My toy collection started with Fisher Price Little People. I started going to garage sales and trash n treasure markets with the kids and ended up with 200+ little people. I gradually added to the collection some Vintage Fisher Price toys, which can be found in my Fisher Price Page. Unfortately, Eddie, Sarah Lynn, Maggie, Michael & Sonya Lee started to take over my life so I began to sell a lot of my collection so that I could begin a new one.
Next on the list is Masudaya tin toys. These are some of my favourite items. More information about Masudaya toys can be found on my page. These collectables are very expensive, so my collection is going to build slowly....but I will slowly be-able to visit space with my galactic tin toys.
Then oneday I went to a Salvo's and found a vintage action man (not shown) in fantastic condition. I searched ebay and put it up for sale so that I could buy another Masudaya toy. Then, the day it left my hands I realised I missed the new man in my life so did some research. I soon fell in love with Action Man. What women wouldn't want to have as many men as she could in her house at one time?
I must admit that I do like Vintage Action Man and do have some in my collection but I prefered the richness in coulours and variety in application of the modern day Action Man. With close to 100 Action man, this is my biggest and most treasured collection.
It doesn't end there for me, I have a massive collection of boxed Star Wars figures which I still need to take out of storage so that I can show you here. I also have a small collection of vintage Thomas the Tank Engine, Transformers, Harry Potter and other toys that for whatever reason have become a part of my Toy Collection.
There are reasons this. The first is that when collecting Action Man it is very difficult for me to find a MIB Action Man that I don't already own so as all obsessed people, I build other collections to keep my addictions at bay. The second reason is, when out hunting with the kids, sometimes I just like the look of a toy so much that I NEED IT! The last reason is that during my hunting sometimes I come accross groups of toys and then I just can't resist. Ahhhh! The dramas of collecting. I am sure some of you can relate to this.
